1 commentThe Ren and Stimpy that Never Was
BoingBoing often links to johnkstuff.blogspot.com, The blog of Ren and Stimpy Creator John Kricfalusi (which is reason enough to pay a visit), and he is currently hosting a storyboard from a never-created episode, called Life Sucks. It has the proper audio, and put together in a pretty good video layout, if that makes sense. Anyway, Go check it out, they will be posting more up over the coming days.

2 commentsIf I were a Videogame Character, I would be…
I am a Pacman Ghost. I like to hang around with friends, chatting, dancing, all that sort of thing. We don’t appreciate outsiders, and do our best to discourage others approaching us. I enjoy occasionally wandering around randomly, and often find that when I do so, I get to where I wanted to be. What Video Game Character Are You? |

New bumper has arrived also got my wings so all ready for the body shop……. This should bring my TT up to date as thought the design is a little dated.

On completion of the work will look like this but with the above wings on.

An Andy Joke.
The world’s foremost authority on wasps is walking down the street when he sees a record in the window of a charity shop "Wasp noises from around the world". Intrigued, he goes into the shop and asks if he can listen to it.
"Certainly," says the shop assistant and pops it onto his turntable. After listening to the first track for a while, the world’s foremost authority on wasps is a bit confused. "I don’t recognize any of these noises, and I’m the world’s foremost authority on wasps! Can you play the next track please?"
The assistant obliges and skips the needle onto the next track, after a while the world’s foremost authority on wasps is still confused…..
"No, I still don’t recognize any of these wasps. Can you try the next track?"
The assistant skips the needle on, and the world’s foremost authority on wasps listens for a little while longer before shaking his head.
"It’s no good. I just don’t recognize any of these wasps" The assistant peers at the label of the record and says……
"Oh, I’m terribly sorry. I was playing the bee side"
2 commentsSome WinningStyle Stats…
I was just perusing the Webstats for WinningStyle.co.uk, and have made a strange discovery.
Firstly, the good news– hits are up since the new front end. We have had more visitors already in December than we had in the whole of November.
We’ve had 18 visitors directly from Search engines (15 of which have been Googling) not a lot, but as we get more content up, that number should increase. Funily enough, most of those hits have been from people searching for the phrase "Random". GP2X and Pirated are also in the list of most popular keywords.
I also chuckled when I noticed one of the key phrases that landed someone here was "John Vs Jack". Come on man, you don’t need Google to tell you Bauer would kick
But its not just search engines, apparently we’ve had 35 hits directly from other websites.
So, where are these people coming from?
Well, three words: Porno, Porno, Porno!!
I’m guessing that by linking Pornotube and Yutuvu in the user links, I’ve created a bit of a magnet for all the one handed typers… I’m not at work, so I can’t see EXACTLY where people are coming from.
Anyway, heres some of the more interesting stats for your perusal…

6 commentsVideogames cause Violence on New Level.

http://www.winningstyle.co.uk/FlippyTemp/DSTipage010061213.pdf
I was checking out the Daily Star today, and it looks like the Nintendo Wii, of all consoles, is the cause of a number of violent incidents in the household.
It appears that people dancing round the living room waving their controllers around are so engrosed, they’re injuring themselves and their spouses!
Injuries have occured from the obvious waving around of the controller, but avid sweaty handed gamers are suffering when the controllers slide from their soggy paws, and have been known to smash windows and TV’s, as well as teeth.

No commentsThe Airplane-Treadmill Conundrum
Ruthlessly ripped off from the NY Times via Boing Boing
OK, this one’s driving me crazy. This brain-teaser is ripping around the Internet, plus I actually overheard it THREE TIMES in airport conversations on a recent trip to Canada.
Here’s how I found it presented at http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=34 8452:
“Imagine a plane is sitting on a massive conveyor belt, as wide and as long as a runway. The conveyer belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels, moving in the opposite direction. Can the plane take off?
“I say no, because the plane will not move relative the the ground and air, and thus, very little air will flow over the wings. However, other people are convinced that since the wheels of a plane are free spinning, and not powered by the engines, and the engines provide thrust against the air, that somehow that makes a difference and air will flow over the wing.”
